What can I have restored?

The workshop deals with every aspect of bike restoration, from a rusty start to good-as-new finish. The processes used often require highly specialised techniques that Birkins Cycles offer. A completely professional finish is guaranteed on every detail, making Birkins Cycles the best workshop to prepare your bike for events such as L'Eroica Brittania.

How long does a restoration take?
This largely depends on how big the project is. Unlike a cycle build or repair, restoration will take longer, but the results are always worth the wait. A bike that has been sitting for ten years at the back of the shed deserves a bit of time to get it back to its former glory. Get in touch with some details of the nature of the restoration, and an approximate turn-around time will be provided.

Is all work carried out in-house?
Where possible, yes. Spray painting is largely done at the workshop or via reputable traditional stove enamelers. Any other out-sourcing is kept to fully certified companies within a ten-mile radius. This means that local businesses in the area benefit and your project is dealt with entirely by professionals.

Do you just restore cycles?
This is one of the things that sets Birkins Cycles apart from other workshops. Projects of a similar scale are welcomed.
